End of the year

Well we all made it one more year. This year had its up and downs for me.

Have made a lot of new amulets lately and some new and different wands. Also working with Tagua Nut now, making some cool amulets out of them. The colors and markings make each one unique and different. Making some new boxes as well as a few other new items.

Anything new you would like seen made, let me know will look into it.

Got some new items online now and more to come. Finally getting my new camera close in settings for good pictures and learning my photoshop program. Which is fun in itself LOL especially for a old dog like me. HAHAHAHAHA

New Wands

Added some new wands last night, 2 that are unique and different. Found out after removing the bark that insects had eaten grooves and designs all through the wood. Giving each a unique look and design. Came out very well, pictures don't do justice to these. Have to see them in person. Working on better pictures, since moving to new place the lighting is just not right. So bear with me as I try different things to improve my pics. Also got to find the right setup for my backgrounds as i lost use of what I was using.

Also added was my first amulet made out of Ebony wood, you can feel the extra power that wood gives.

Another Day

Well its another day and at least its cooler but windy. Sun is shining and a big bright blue sky today. At with a full moon coming in next few days the energy is bubbling. Getting more things made and all looking good so far. Didn't know how hard it is to work with Ebony, that's some tough wood LOL

Here it is time for the holidays again and now been weeded out of another job again. So job looking as I build new stuff. Times are rough but do think it will get better for all. Just takes time and patience.

New Products

Have started making a new line of amulets now. Using Ebony wood now and making some beautiful amulets now. Will be getting them online very soon at my etsy and artfire stores.

My big website is now getting close to being online with a large assortment of items. Been rough getting it up and running, so much to do and information. Should be well worth the effort once its up and running.

New Life

Well I've been ignoring my blog and a lot of my life. Have now got things on straight now and getting settled in now from a major move. Got shop all set up and running now, new computer and printer just about done. So a lot of new changes and ideas.

Making new wands now and boxes which will be put online later this week. One called the Horned God which all should like.

Behind Schedule

Sorry about being slack last few weeks. Been fighting a stomach virus that just couldn't shake off. Finally after 24 days starting to feel human again. Plus finally after being unemployeed for over a year now have a job. Woo Hoo that helps me out a lot. Oak Staff with Deer Antler

Got my Oak staff finally finished and posted online on etsy and artfire site. Pictures just don't do this fine piece justice. You have to hold and see the red colors that glisten in the sun.

A Beautiful Day

With yesterday being cold, wet and miserable. Today is great, sunny and warm.
Hard to believe yesterday we also got snow here in Houston for the second day this winter. After a hot drought summer, we have got some nice winter weather. Makes you wonder how this summer is going to turn out.

Made a few more amulets and will be posting them online later today for all to look at. So stop on by and take a look.

New Items

Made some new items and put them online in my Etsy store. Made some 4 leaf clover amulets and a eye of horus as well as another hammer of thor and a pentacle. Have some zodiac amulets made and will be posting them as the day goes. So check them out and let me know what you think.

Had a great day in my shop today. Made some new wood Amulets today and finished up a box. Working on zodiac amulets now, have a few made and will be putting them online tonite or tomorrow.

Feeling good lately with 5 sells in the last week, so maybe that's a great sign of things to come.

Another Rainy Day

Well it may be rainy today and cool, but going to have fun in my shop and make some new things and finish other projects. Time to get ready for upcoming craft shows and get ready to make sells. Grandson is growing and hard to believe now 6 months old and getting more active each day. Then next thing I'll know he'll be grown and married, oops getting to far along now LOL.

A nice sunny day in the works

First sell of 2010

Whooo Hooo finally got the first sell of 2010 in and time to get more going. Looks like my native wood wands are my best sellers so far as well as my wood boxes and other wood goodies. So that tells me what i need to do, pull out the wood and get to carving. Without loosing a finger or 2 LOL

well have a great day and enjoy yourselves, 6 more weeks of winter. Oh well find a good fire and snuggle and enjoy.

Weekend is here

Survived a good week of shop work and didn't loose any fingers LOL. Got a few boxes going and looking good so far as I work to complete them. Making more candles this weekend as it seems thats whats working in sells right now. People wanting money or success candles, so I will make some of those to sell.

Grandson is just a growing and getting more active now. will be posting pics of him and my boxes as weeks progress.

It's Hump day!!!

Well it's Wednesday and half the week is gone, and so much fun out in the shop. Making a new style box and will show it and get your opinions soon. Been a beautiful week so far, nice warm clear days and now toward the weekend a cold front is coming. At least can stay inside and be warm.

Sunday and Its Sunny

Wow Sunday is starting out beautifully this morning. A bright sunrise that is glowing and going to make a wonderful day. Which will make it nice to work in the shop today. Finish carving some boxes and get them ready to stain and polish up.

Monday

Well Monday has arrived and its a clear sunny warm day here. Decided to lower prices on my jewelry and keep my other prices the same as my sale prices. Trying to help others with this rough economy right now. So with the warming weather can finally work in my shop and let the creative juices flow. So have a great day and enjoy yourself

Its Friday again

Here it is Friday again, week went by fast. Well it's raining today so I'm off to play in my shop and see what I can whip up. Working on some more Cedar boxes and a few pecan also. Had one box looking good but my hand slipped and went to far into the side. Might have ruined it, but will think and look what I can come up with to save it. Might be a good brain idea for me. LOL

Survived the cold

It got darn right chilly down here in Texas, a lot of record cold temperatures were set. Got down to 18 here Saturday morning and my weather station showed we had a wind chill of 3.4 degrees on one of the wind gusts. So were trying to thaw out now.

Didn't get to work in my shop, just too darn cold. So have been working on designs to put on my boxes and a few new box designs on paper.

Did go out Saturday night and watched Avatar in 3-D, it was awesome. Loved it and the special effects were great. If you haven't seen it yet, I would say go see it. My first 3-D movie and was well worth the wait.

Stay warm all and if do have to travel in this weather, be safe and take some supplies with you just encase.

It's going to be Cold

Well we have a cold front coming in and they saying going to be the coldest here in Houston since 1996. So all battened down and ready for it.

Got my line of candles on my 2 websites for sell now. Look for the Chaos Catcher.. Next to be ear rings and some new wands and boxes. So staying busy and working is about all I can do for now. Stay warm and be safe..

New Items

Here we are now 3 days into the new year. So far been a good year with new items I've been making. Got some ear rings made, some more wands and a line of candles. Been making specialty candles for a few people and they keep buying more and telling their friends. So they named my new candle and call it " Chaos Catcher ", it seems to have a soothing peaceful effect on people. I mix special herbs and oils into the wax and make them blue. So now will be selling candles also, in various sizes and styles. Also working on my success candle also to bring on line. So New and exciting things are in store for 2010.
